Q. What do I need to get married?
A. Applicants must provide the following information: Divorce decree or civil annulment documents if previously married. Death certificate, if former spouse is deceased. A sealed copy of your birth certificate, driver license and photo ID and Social Security Card. A witness (18 years or older) who knows both the male and female applicants. If any documents are in a foreign language they must be accompanied by a certified English translation. The name, address and phone number of person performing the marriage. The date and location marriage will take place.
Q. I want to get married on Saturday, when can I get my license?
A. There is a full seventy-two (72) hour wait, from the time of completing the application to the issuing of the license. (Borough Offices are not open on weekends. License are issued from Monday thru Friday).
Q. How much does a marriage license cost?
A. The fee for a marriage license is $28.00 payable at the time the license is issued. All applicants should try to have the exact amount or a check made payable to the Borough of Pine Hill.
Q. Who can marry us in Pine Hill?
A. In the Borough of Pine Hill the mayor, every minister of every religion, the judge of municipal court are the people authorized to solemnize a marriage. All officials make their own arrangements to perform a marriage ceremony.
Q. Do we need a blood test before we get married?
A. No, the law was changed to eliminate the blood test provision.
Q. What are the hours to apply for a license?
A. The clerk's office will take applications or issue a license from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
Q. How much is a dog license?
A. The fee for a dog license is $8.00 neutered or $11.00 non-neutered. A late charge of $25.00 is charged after April 15th. All dog license are due in January of each year.
Q. How many yard sale permits can I get?
A. Yard sale permits shall not be issued more than three (3) times during a (12) twelve month period and for no more than three days in succession.
Q. How much is a yard sale permit?
A. The fee for a yard sale permit is two dollars per day.
Q. I need assistance with my rent and utilities?

Q. Can you tell me the zoning on a property?
A. The best person to give the most accurate information on zoning is the Zoning Officer, Mr. Neil Clark. He is available at 45 West Seventh Avenue, on Wednesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Q. Will you mail me an application for the Planning Board?
A. Planning Board applications are distributed by the Planning Board secretary. The secretary can be reached during office hours on Wednesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 45 West Seventh Avenue.
Q. I just moved to town, how do I get a recycling bucket?
A. Bring a copy of your settlement papers or lease to the Office of the Municipal Clerk to pick up a recycling can. There is no charge for a recycling bucket to a new resident.
Q. My recycling bucket is damaged. How do I get a new recycling can?
A. Apply a the Office of the Municipal Clerk for a new recycling can. The cost for a replacement bucket is $10.00.
Q. I have a couch and refrigerator for the trash. What do I do with them?
A. The couch or large bulk items can be put with your regular trash for pick up. The refrigerator or white goods, along with any scrap metal, call the Public Works Department at 856-784-4697 and leave your name, address, phone number, items to be picked up.
Q. Where are they giving out the flu shots?
A. Contact the Camden County Board of Health and Human Services by calling 1-800-999-9045 for information on locations for flu shots.
Q. How can I get a passport?
A. Passports are issued at the federal building in Philadelphia. The Camden County Clerk has a system in conjunction with the passport division in Philadelphia where passports can be obtained through their office. Although this procedure takes a little longer, it is more convenient. Contact number for information: 856.225.7215
Q. How do I get rid of my old paint or pool chemicals?
A. The Camden County Division of Environmental Affairs at 566-3131 will have location, date and time information for the collections of household special waste and paint only collection days.
Q. The Bank told me to get a number from your office to start my business?
A. To file a business name or trade name apply to the County Clerk's Office in Camden. Any tax numbers must be obtained from the State of New Jersey Treasury Department or the Federal Government.
Q. What day and time is Halloween observed?
A. Halloween is usually observed on October 31st of every year. There is a curfew for the purpose of Halloween Safety of 8 p.m. for the age of seventeen and under. This curfew is also effective for Mischief Night.
