Q. How can I appeal my assessment?
A. Appeal forms are available in the Assessor's Office. They must be filed with the County Board of Taxation by April 1st.
Q. How do I qualify for a $250 Senior Citizen deduction?
A. You must be 65 years old by December 31st of the pretax year, but do not exceed $10,000 income (excluding Social Security).
Q. How do I qualify for disability deduction ($250)?
A. You must be permanently and totally disabled, and do not exceed $10,000 income (excluding Social Security). For a Veteran Deduction ($200.00 for 2002 and $250.00 for 2003), you must have been in active duty during war time.
