Q. When are my taxes due?
A. Taxes are due February 1, May 1, August 1, and November 1. There is a 10 day grace period every quarter.
Q. When can a Tax Sale be held?
A. A tax sale can occur any time after April 1 of the year for the prior year's delinquencies, such as taxes, water and sewer.
Q. How do I qualify for any Local Deductions and discounts off my taxes?
A. When you turn age 65 years old but do not exceed a $10,000 income (excluding Social Security) or if you are disabled (permanently and totally) and do not exceed a $10,000 income (excluding Social Security) you may receive a $250 per year deduction from your taxes. If you are a Veteran and were in the service during war time, you could qualify for a $200 deduction.
